About Institute

The Industrial Training Institute ( ITI ) was established in the year 1985 by Kalathur V Subramania Iyer Memorial Trust in the rural area of Thanjavur District for the benefit of financially challenged local educated youths who can’t pursue higher education. The Institute is affiliated to the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) under Ministry of Skill Developments and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India. Presently we have 6 (Six) trades viz., Fitter, Electrician, Mechanic Motor Vehicle,  Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Technician, Mechanic Diesel and Welder. The entire syllabus for the trades are designed by National Instructional Media Institute (NIMI), a Government of India undertaking and currently Level 4 and Level 5 are followed.
